Caroni Guyana 1996 23 Y.O. HTR The Last

HTR was one of the historic Marks of the Trinidad distillery. The three-letter abbreviation, which was painted on the bottoms of the barrels in red, identified the rums with the highest level of foreigners, therefore the “Heavy Trinidad Rum”. The Caroni Heavy were purchased by Luca Gargano in 2 different moments: the first part, in 2008, came from a stock of 586 barrels. And, as a matter of safety, it was sent to the warehouses of Demerara Distillers Limited in Guyana, at the suggestion of the then chairman DDL Yesu Persaud, linked to Luca by a great friendship.
