In 2004, Luca Gargano di Velier, visited Guyana and Trinidad to prepare a photographic session by Marcarini on rum and on Caribbeans. Here he discovered of a warehouse full of barrels, some dating back to the ’70s, which decides to acquire and import in Italy where the Caroni brand receives a new fresh commercial boost, especially in the world of collecting.
Balanced from the first sip, these rums from Tobago’s island were made following the ancient local distillation methods, which make them decisive and with a strong character, but with a dense and intense aromatic range.
